In addition to conducting research, Dr. Fontaine also works for Shared Health and currently provides clinical services through the Women’s Clinical Health Psychology Service at the Women’s Hospital at the Health Sciences Centre. She primarily provides therapy to women experiencing perinatal depression, anxiety, birth-trauma, and loss. She has received training in a range of therapeutic orientations, including cognitive-behavioural therapy (CBT), acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT), dialectical behaviour therapy (DBT), psychodynamic therapy, and interpersonal therapy (IPT).
In the past, Dr. Fontaine has provided therapy and assessment services for adults, couples, and pre-school aged children experiencing a range of mood, anxiety, violence, trauma, sleep, chronic pain, and psychosis-related challenges.
